First photovoltaic system for a native Canadian community

Photovoltaic system for a renewable energy community in Canada
2012

Ground-mounted photovoltaic solar park
Client: native Canadian community

Requirements

Setting up a photovoltaic system to meet energy needs and promote the social and economic development of a local community in Canada.

System

The “Alderville First Nation” system is the first ground-mounted photovoltaic solar park owned by a native Canadian community—a project that has made us grow from a human and professional point of view. The 5.7 MWp system is powered by 23,000 photovoltaic modules, installed in collaboration with the members of the local community. This plant opened 25 new job posts during its construction and keeps being a source of employment for the community.
